For Freshers' Sake! is the Students' Union's official events programme running from 19th September to 28th September! It's your welcome to university life and definitely one of the most important 2 weeks of your student experience. You can expect to meet loads of new people, discover new experiences, and find out more on how you can get involved with your Students' Union.
Every member of University of East London is automatically a member of the Students' Union. You can opt out of this by ticking a box during the enrollment process with the university.
It's time to grab your freebies! On 26th September from 10am - 4pm, all across Docklands campus, we have worked tirelessly over the summer to invite external companies such as Amazon,Wagamama's and Morrison to Docklands to offer their amazing student deals and free stuff! You can also find societies, sports clubs, charities, university departments, and of course, the Students' Union services - so be sure to drop down, say hello, and collect your goody bags from us.
Gold wristband includes all events during Freshers week, 24th - 28th September. Silver wristband includes everything except for Freshers' Festival which takes place on the 28th September.
Wristbands will guarantee you entry into events before 10pm. Please show up on time to avoid queuing up.
Yes you can! Wristbands/ticket are limited to one guest per student and they must be accompanied to the event by the UEL student and provide valid proof of ID upon arrival.
You can collect your wristband and/or ticket from the Students' Union reception desks in Docklands (North Building) or Stratford (University House).
You should receive your university ID details before you arrive at UEL and can register on our website using those details. However, should you not receive them you can create a guest account and use that to make any purchases. When collecting your items be sure to bring with you a valid proof of ID.
Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds for any wristbands and/or tickets purchased. The same applies for lost wristbands and/or tickets too.
If you already have your student log in details but are still experiencing issues logging in to the website, please contact us on email@example.com with your student number and the error message you get when trying to log in.
If you haven't received your student log in details, you can create an account as a guest and use that to make purchases from the website. However, you won't be able to purchase most tickets, wristbands, or memberships with a guest account so be sure to sort that out as soon as possible!
Not every student wants to attend all the events the Students' Union puts on, so we provide individual ticketed events for students who do not wish to purchase a wristband. As a charity organisation we do not make any profit from our events, and any money received is put back into the pot to improve your student experience.
Absolutely not! We have tons of free events happening throughout Freshers'. Check out our events page to find out what's going on. You can also follow us on social media where will be posting regular updates such as if we are selling tickets on the door.
